HOFFEE Ghostly Inferno combines smoky ghost pepper heat, garlic and rich toffee sweetness. It is the hottest sauce in our five-flavour lineup, so start with a few drops and build the heat to suit your meal.
What goes well with ghost pepper hot sauce?
Rich, savoury foods such as steak, burgers and wings give Ghostly Inferno room to shine. Butter, cheese and creamy sauces help spread its flavour through a dish. For a sweet-heat experiment, try a very small amount with vanilla ice cream.
1. Garlic steak bites
Sear cubed sirloin seasoned with salt and pepper, then toss with garlic sautéed in butter. Stir a little Ghostly Inferno into the butter before coating the steak. Taste a small bite before adding more sauce: a light coating brings smoky sweetness without hiding the beef.
For a different heat level, try our Rosemary Inferno BBQ steak skewers.
2. Sweet-heat chicken wings
Cook wings using your preferred method, then toss them with melted butter and a small amount of Ghostly Inferno. Add the sauce after cooking to keep its flavour in the glaze. Serve extra sauce separately so everyone can choose their heat.
Our Golden Inferno crispy chicken wings recipe offers a milder buttery-cayenne starting point. Ghostly is considerably hotter, so adjust to taste rather than replacing the sauce in equal quantities.
3. Vanilla ice cream with a sweet-heat finish
Put one or two drops on a small spoonful of vanilla ice cream before dressing a full serving. If you enjoy the combination, add a tiny drizzle and a pinch of flaky sea salt. Optional chopped pecans add crunch. Check ingredient labels for allergens when serving others.
How hot is Ghostly Inferno?
Ghostly sits at 5 out of 5 on HOFFEE’s relative flame scale. This is a comparison within our range, not a measured Scoville rating. See the HOFFEE heat and flavour guide to compare it with Raspberry, Golden, Rosemary and Szechuan Inferno.
